All the neighbors knew that Joseph Groth fatally stabbed his first wife inside the two-story frame house at 1217 S. Wilson Ave.
“It’s the first thing you hear about when you move in,” said Roxanne Fredd, who has lived in an apartment across the street for two years.
Still, she was stunned yesterday morning when she saw Groth’s second wife crawling out of the house, covered in blood. Groth was beside her, his hands bloodied, screaming for someone to call 911.
“He said, ‘I think I killed my wife,’ ” Fredd said.
Christine Groth, 53, was in critical condition last night at Grant Medical Center, where police said she had surgery for multiple stab wounds.
Mr. Groth, 67, was arrested at the home and charged with attempted murder.
Holy smokes, this guy should have been in the nuthouse for life.
its what the electric chair and hangman’s noose, and gas chamber and sleepy bye table is for…..there’s too many that have earned one of those goodies, but we as a society are too nice….we need to be more like china…they dont fool around with their criminals…..they execute them right away…..good luck
