Medical Call Center Jobs

Medical Receptionist / Assistant?

I am starting school in the fall to get my AAS in Polysomnography (studies sleep disorders) and want to work in pediatrics.
Well due to my company selling I am getting laid off at my current job next month.
I would like to get a job in the medical field to head in the right direction with school. Well my friend is a MA in a pediatrics office that is hiring a receptionist and will cross train in back office as well (Perfect for what I am looking for). Well I have a lot of office experience (accounting/ customer service/ call center) but no medical experience. I wanted my resume to look appealing to medical – does anyone have any recommendations? How do I get this job with no prior medical experience?
Thanks all!!
I will be taking medical terminalogy courses, A&P I,II, & III, Pharmacology, Pathology and other medical classes before I even start classes for my Polysomnography degree – should I include that in my cover letter?

most improtant person in an office is the receptionist…he or she can make or break the practice…good idea, get the terminology, and especially the CODES for the various procedures…good luck
